I just knew if it could be done, it had to be done, and I did it.”

Join the Bass Lake Yosemite Triathlon on June 1, 2024. Great course, great time. great challenge and, yes, a great race. Just minutes from Yosemite National Park, the Bass Lake Yosemite Triathlon boasts one of the most challenging and beautiful courses in the US!

Be a part of history.  At the dawn of triathlon, the 1983 and 1984 USAT (then TriFed) and USTS National Championships were held here.  The triathlon tradition continues at Bass Lake with a beautiful and challenging course in the foothills of the Sierras.

Join us for the 13th Annual edition of this iconic race. Truly like no other race you will do. Our host hotel, The Pines Resort, right on Bass Lake, is where the transition area is located, only steps from your room. Feel like camping? The other side of the lake is lined with National Forest Campgrounds. Rent a mansion on the lake? Yes. Stay at a luxurious resort? Yes? Budget lodging? Of course. Click HERE to find lodging options in the area. And after the race? Explore Yosemite National Park, jetski in Bass Lake (Miller’s Landing has all jetskis and boats for rent), hike the Sierras or just hang out at the Pines Bar.

Bass Lake and its neighboring community, Oakhurst, are only a short drive from the gates of Yosemite National Park.  The area provides a perfect place to stay while exploring the wonders of Yosemite National Park.  Glacier Point (the road reopened in 2023), Yosemite Valley, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, Bridalveil Fall and all the hiking and sightseeing the Park has to offer are only minutes away.
